Nearly 500 people attended an online Anugraha Bhashanam, a divine discourse, delivered by His Holiness Srimad Andavan on the importance of sandhyavandanam and Gayatri japam on 8th August 2020.
The event was organised by the Sahasra Gayatri Sathsang USA, which has invited several leading religious heads to address an international audience about the importance of regular sandhyavandanam and the benefits of chanting the Gayatri mahamantra.
Ramana Deekshitar, one of the main organisers based in Kumbakonam said, “We urge everyone to chant 1008 Gayatri japam every Sunday to help reduce the effects of the global Corona pandemic. In addition, we wish to encourage everyone to commit themselves to their nitya anushthanams and perform their trikala-sandhyavandanam every day. We were greatly fortunate that someone of the eminence of Srimad Andavan addressed our worldwide audience and was able to inspire us so eloquently with quotes from so many scriptures.”
